Thermosafe PolarPack® Gel Pack
Although any of the CorrMed Porta Thermal bag range can be used on their own to keep vaccines and medicines in cold chain for a number of hours, their performance can be significantly enhanced and extended using coolant blocks and gel packs. The Thermosafe PolarPack® Gel Packs are compatible with all of the bags in our range including the small, medium, large and extra-large bags. Each of the individual product pages provide guidance on how many packs / blocks should be used.

The ThermoSafe PolarPack® coolant gel packs are a great alternative to wet ice. The gel is enclosed in a durable 4.1mm polyethylene film. They can be used chilled or frozen and help to extend the time that vaccines are in cold chain.  
 
Gels are commonly used in community outreach initiatives such as immunisation programmes, or medicine transfer for search and rescue. They are particularly appropriate for helping to maintain the temperature within a vaccine carry bag that is being opened multiple times.
