Medical Oxygen Bag

The CorrMed medical oxygen bag has been designed to support the safe transport of medical oxygen cylinders. A firm favourite of emergency services and first aiders due to its flexibility; our oxygen kit bag can be carried three ways. First, by using the grab handles with one hand, second over the shoulder and third across the body using the detachable padded strap. The Corrmed oxygen cylinder bag is extremely lightweight – just 1.4kgs, one of the lightest on the market – making it the perfect oxygen kit bag for heavy canisters.

What is an oxygen bag

An oxygen cylinder bag is used by paramedics and emergency services to carry an oxygen cylinder and accessories in an emergency situation. The CorrMed green oxygen bag measures 58cm long and 24cms in diameter to accommodate cylinder sizes C, D or CD.

What makes a good oxygen bag

Desirable features of a medical oxygen bag include

Quality Materials:

An oxygen bag should be hardwearing and waterproof to withstand its working environment.

The CorrMed cylinder bag is made from tough 500 denier tarpaulin (Tarpex) material and features YKK metal zips and metal fittings. It is waterproof, wipe clean, has a waterproof non-slip base as well as silver reflective strips.

Innovative Design:

All oxygen bags should feature a cylinder cradle with straps to protect the cylinder when in transport and ideally additional storage for the necessary accessories (masks, tubing and other supplies).

The CorrMed oxygen bag not only features a padded cylinder wrap with straps but padded internal pockets. One deep pocket with a clear window for easy visibility and one with a flap to safely contain its contents, there are also four standard pockets and six elasticated holders, perfect for securely storing additional equipment.

Infection Prevention:

Infection prevention is at the heart of CorrMed, with over 20 years’ experience in infection control product development, so it’s no surprise that their medical oxygen bag boasts several features to prevent cross contamination. The oxygen bag lining is fully antibacterial, the outer bag is wipe clean and the design is Velcro free, meeting Public Health England and equivalent standards.

Experience, Certification & Testing:

CorrMed are ISO9001 certified, as is the manufacturer, and with a bag designer holding over 40 years’ experience it’s no wonder CorrMed medical bags are used across the UK and in many international locations by paramedics, nurses, and clinicians. All CorrMed medical bags, including this oxygen bag, are designed in the UK, draw on the extensive medical and infection control experience of the CorrMed team and are quality tested in the field to ensure they are robust and purpose designed for an emergency environment.
