What is air sterilisation?

Often referred to as air purification, several cutting-edge technologies are combined into a handy portable or wall-mounted unit, designed to clean and purify air, and eliminate pathogens and nasties. Air is treated, before being released back into the atmosphere along with a substance called Plasma Quatro. The Plasma then goes to work in the wider environment, settling on surfaces and moving through the air, degenerating bacteria, viruses and spores in as little as 60 minutes. This means odour elimination, infection control and less cleaning needed.
Why is it effective?

As bacteria, viruses, mould, fungi and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) build up, they create high odour smells which then spread through the air and can impact on those in the vicinity. Traditionally, without a deep clean of the waste area, standard cleaning methods merely mask or reduce the scent without actually dealing with the problem – smells are the nature of waste management.
Air sterilisation works a different way. The air is treated and released, along with Plasma Quatro which then gets to work on the surface. Instead of being masked or minimised, the odour-causing culprits are killed and eliminated, and no nasties means no smells, even if the waste is decomposing. Which units are most suitable?

AIRsteril has specifically designed the Mega Thermal unit for high odour waste management systems. Using AIRsteril advanced UV technology the Mega Thermal units offer a scientifically proven solution for around-the-clock control of odours. One of the largest projects in the UK to date was for a waste transfer of 12,000m2 who received over 500 complaints a month from residents. AIRsteril Mega Thermal eliminated all detectable exterior odour and odour complaints disappeared overnight.
The Mega Thermal unit offers a unique design without the need of a fan motor or moving parts. All parts which could be affected by onerous off-gassing of caustic materials are encased in a hermetically sealed insulated chamber. The advanced technology of the Mega Thermal unit allows the control of bacteria, viruses and moulds both in the air and on surfaces more efficiently than ever before. All of this is achieved without fans and with very low energy consumption. The custom designed Thermal convection system ensures that contaminated air is processed through the unit and achieves optimum dwell time in the purifying chamber.
